1/8″ diameter axle shouldered to 2 mm to fit the hole in the wheel and set back to back. Flanges add 1.1 mm to the diameter

All driving wheels, except the “industrials”, are produced with a long shouldered crankpin for coupling and connecting rods or short shouldered crankpins for coupling rods only. Types required to be specified on ordering.

Crankpins are supplied by the Society for use in moulding.

Tyres are manufactured from nickel silver for all driving wheels and from steel for wagon, coach, bogie and tender wheels. The steel tyres are “blackened” before the wheels are moulded. When ordering state short or long pin required.
